The past few months have imbued me with a great appreciation of the wonderful experiences, environments and humans I surround myself with. This feeling of contentment with life and the direction it’s taking is something I find hard to visualise, except through what I know and love: the chaos of colour and form. The paint is applied directly onto the canvas and no thought or planning is put into the direction of the brushstrokes; the abstract expressionist visual language comes through in spontaneous bursts and has less refinement than previous works. I am capturing a moment of reflection and gratitude for the freedom granted to me through my various creative endeavours, through the support of loved ones, and, finally, by my own self.
